This course builds on the Performance auditing course (PAUD) that covers the performance audit methodology. I know from experience that having knowledge of an audit methodology does not mean that auditors have enough knowledge of the three Es and management measures, the two building blocks of performance auditing, to conduct a performance audit with confidence. The Advanced performance auditing course provides more information on economy, efficiency and effectiveness as well as what management measures entail. For example: How is productivity calculated in the labour environment? (Labour efficiency). Or: What is relevance of a programme important when we talk about effectiveness? What are the different types of planning measures? What is the difference between monitoring and evaluation?
